Job Summary:

The Engineering Fabrication Technician will focus on modifying and assembling equipment used for powder handling, conveying, cryogenic processing integration, pilot-scale production workflow improvements, and basic controls integration using relays, timers, and entry-level PLC hardware. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys building practical mechanical solutions and working closely with engineers to improve how materials move through real manufacturing environments. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $26-$38 per hour , with overtime opportunities available as needed.

Projects may include:

Installing conveyors and auger transfer systems Integrating cryogenic cooling hardware into processing equipment Improving grinder-to-grinder material flow systems Assembling staging and bagging equipment Building fixture tables and support structures Mounting motors, sensors, and mechanical components Wiring basic relay and timer control circuits Supporting prototype equipment upgrades

Qualifications:

Fabrication Mechatronics Robotics programs Manufacturing technician roles Packaging or conveyor equipment environments Race shops or other hands-on mechanical build environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical assembly Drilling, tapping, and layout work Bearings, shafts, and couplings Conveyors or material handling systems Reading drawings or sketches Low-voltage control wiring Welding (MIG or TIG) Sensors, relays, and 24V systems DIN-rail timers and control components Basic PLC experience SolidWorks experience Why This Role Is Unique You'll help support development of infrastructure used in: Cryogenic milling platforms Advanced ceramic and alloy processing Pilot-scale materials manufacturing Next-generation materials equipment systems This position offers a strong growth path into engineering technician and process equipment development roles.
