Job Description
Eaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 1st Shift to join our team in Torrance, CA! The core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is 22.96 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. In this function you will:
- Perform soldering and assembly abilities to IPC-610 Class 3 & J-Std-001 soldering requirements.
- Be responsible for building complex electronic assemblies, terminal boards, printed circuit boards, and heat sinks.
- Work from drawing assembly, bill of materials, special model sheet and other input documents.
- Cross-train in different production areas as needed
- Be able to use soldering and de-soldering skills to produce products.
- Use measuring equipment, test equipment and hand tools as needed (air drivers, screw drivers, wrenches, presses, and other tooling fixtures).
- Be required to read and interpret drawings, bill of materials, and blueprints.
- Be make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting and other variances within the established guidelines of workmanship standards.
- Receive detailed instructions on new assignments and limited instructions on routine work
- Be able to match drawings to bill of materials
- Perform visual and electrical checks
- Be part of the team to maintain and support a safe, clean work environment.
- Be part of facilitating ongoing continuous improvement in support of quality, productivity and growth objectives compatibility and safety of electrical systems.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

- Ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings and work orders.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to follow process specifications
- Ability to handle components and assemblies
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown
