$24.00/hr.•$30.00/hr. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Cabinet Assembly Technician to join our shop-based production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values craftsmanship, and wants to grow into a full custom cabinet fabricator and installer. The position begins with cabinet assembly and expands into fabrication, precision machining, and on-site installation through structured training and mentorship. Our shop runs SCM CNC machining centers and edgebanding equipment and specializes in miter-folded casework and seamless panel construction — skills you will develop on the job. Primary Responsibilities (Initial Role) Assemble cabinet boxes, drawers, doors, and components Assemble miter-folded boxes and panels, ensuring tight, seamless corners Install hardware including hinges, drawer systems, slides, and accessories Read and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and assembly instructions Safely use hand tools and power tools Support machine operators with material handling, part sorting, and post-machining inspection Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and finish Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace Collaborate with fabricators, finishers, and installers Growth & Advancement Opportunities Fabrication & Shop Skills Operate SCM CNC machining centers, including nesting, routing, and miter-fold V-grooving Run edgebanding machinery, including setup, glue and edge material changeover, and finish trimming Master miter folding techniques for seamless edges on veneer, laminate, and specialty panels Operate table saws, panel saws, and other shop machinery Perform custom cabinet fabrication and casework construction Work with veneers, panels, and specialty materials Solve unique design and construction challenges Qualifications Required Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail Ability to read basic drawings or willingness to learn Reliable, punctual, and coachable Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet Preferred (Not Required) Experience in cabinetry, woodworking, furniture, or millwork Expertise in miter folding and seamless panel construction Experience operating edgebanding machinery Experience with CNC machining centers, particularly SCM equipment (or comparable platforms such as Biesse or Homag) Familiarity with European hardware systems (Blum, Grass, etc.) Installation or construction experience What We Offer Competitive pay Hands-on training in high-end custom cabinetry and advanced panel processing Stable, year-round work Professional and respectful shop environment Opportunity to build a long-term career in custom fabrication Who This Job Is For This role is ideal for individuals who want to learn a skilled trade, take pride in precision and quality, and are motivated to grow beyond basic assembly work into full custom cabinet fabrication, CNC machining, and installation
