Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
A Drawer Box Assembler builds, rails, and fronts drawer boxes for cabinets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Use air tools, hand tools, jigs, and other equipment to build drawer boxes, prepare dummy fronts, and install rails/clips onto completed boxes Use glue to assemble drawer boxes and hot melt glue to attach rails to boxes Ensure quality specifications are met for all aspects of drawer box assemblyUse a computer system to perform building and fronting of the drawer boxAccurately interpret production labels Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeepingOther duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, drawer front types and stylesAbility to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Physical Ability:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of timeFrequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushingRegularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures.

Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, and gloves.

The noise level is usually moderate to high.

Occasional overtime and weekend work as required.
