Job Title:
Assembler Shift:
1st Shift, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to
Thursday Overtime:
Often on Fridays; weekend overtime available
Starting Pay:
$18 to $20
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will perform various assembly tasks, including installing interior and exterior vehicle parts, assembling components, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic who thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
Install various vehicle interior and exterior parts using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures. Assemble non-electrical interior and exterior components and hardware. Bolt, screw, clip, or fasten parts to form subassemblies (e.g., doors, seats, panels, steering columns). Seal joints and seams using a caulking gun. Fasten seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and trim into position. Assemble fabricated parts or units at floor stations. Position parts and subassemblies accurately using templates or measurements.
Qualifications:
Mechanical assembly experience is preferred. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Strong basic math skills. Experience using hand and power tools is required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Electrical knowledge or wiring experience is a plus. Positive attitude, excellent attendance, and teamwork skills are essential. Experience working on cars or with HVAC systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry parts or tools as needed. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
