$20.00 per hourSchedule:
Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:45 PM Are you self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and detail-oriented? Looking for a hands-on role in the automotive equipment industry? Qualified Staffing is currently hiring Truck Body Installers for our client in New Carlisle, OH. This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical experience who want to grow their skills in a fast-paced production environment. The Truck Body Installer is responsible for preparing truck chassis and installing a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify truck chassis according to work orders
- Install service bodies, platforms, and related equipment
- Install wiring and electrical components (LED brake lights, reverse lights, etc.)
- Install hydraulic systems, including hoists, cylinders, and controls
- Install pneumatic components and controls
- Install lift axles and plow hoists
- Ensure proper routing of airlines and check driveshaft clearance
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Perform basic shop math as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical background required
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Previous experience in automotive equipment or a similar industry preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
