We are seeking an ARF Assembly Technician II to join our Manufacturing Direct team. In this role, you will perform critical assembly, disassembly, inspection, testing, and production tasks across multiple product lines. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following safety, quality, and process standards. What You'll Do
  • Complete assembly and disassembly tasks for two or more manufacturing product lines with minimal oversight.
  • Perform raw material inspection and preparation to support production and quality requirements.
  • Conduct testing and final inspection activities to confirm product conformance.
  • Follow established work instructions, control plans, prints, process standards, and cycle time expectations.
  • Use hand tools safely and operate assigned power tools in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Identify and address assembly-related problems independently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices, wear required personal protective equipment, and support safety discussions such as Toolbox Talks.
  • Maintain environmentally responsible workplace habits, including participation in 5S practices.
  • Assist with training new employees on selected tasks as needed.
  • Use AmstedDocs to locate work instructions, control plans, prints, and post work in MES. What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent preferred.
  • Intermediate experience performing critical manufacturing tasks in one or more product lines.
  • General dexterity and proficiency handling complex assembly tasks.
  • Ability to complete assigned work from start to finish on two or more product lines.
  • Ability to communicate functionally in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely, follow procedures, and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to validate completed work and accurately document production activity.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing environment and requires regular physical activity. Candidates should be able to stand constantly; walk, handle materials, reach outward, and bend frequently; and occasionally sit, reach overhead, climb, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment may include occasional exposure to heat, humidity, dust, or vapors within OSHA limits, as well as frequent loud noise. Amsted Rail is an Equal Opportunity employer.
