Job Description
Exceptional Cabinets is seeking an experienced Cabinet Fabricator to join our custom cabinetry team. We are looking for someone with strong woodworking and cabinet-building experience who understands quality construction and takes pride in producing high-end, custom work. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a cabinet shop and can work independently from drawings, measurements, and production information to fabricate cabinetry accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Fabricate custom residential cabinetry, built-ins, vanities, and specialty pieces Read and interpret cabinet drawings, shop drawings, and measurements Assemble cabinet boxes, face frames, finished ends, fillers, panels, and other components Fabricate and assemble specialty doors, drawer fronts, and custom components as needed Operate standard woodworking and cabinet shop equipment safely and efficiently Work with plywood, hardwoods, MDF, veneers, and other cabinet materials Install and adjust drawer slides, hinges, and cabinet hardware Maintain tight tolerances and consistently produce clean, accurate work Identify fabrication or design issues before pieces move to finishing or installation Coordinate with our design, production, finishing, and installation teams Maintain an organized and safe work area Assist with installation or other shop operations when needed Qualifications Previous professional cabinet fabrication or high-end woodworking experience required Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and terminology Ability to read detailed cabinet drawings and work from dimensions Experience with table saws, routers, sanders, edge-banding equipment, and other woodworking machinery CNC experience Experience with custom residential cabinetry is strongly preferred Understanding of inset, face-frame, and frameless cabinetry is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize quality issues Ability to work independently while also functioning well within a production team Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple pieces of a project through fabrication Must take pride in craftsmanship and finished product quality About Exceptional Cabinets Exceptional Cabinets specializes in high-end custom cabinetry for residential projects throughout the Carolinas. Our work includes custom kitchens, sculleries, bars, vanities, closets, built-ins, furniture-style cabinetry, and architectural millwork. Our cabinetry is built to a high standard using quality materials and hardware, including 3/4" plywood construction, dovetail drawer boxes, soft-close hardware, custom finished components, and premium painted and stained finishes.
