Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a skilled Cab Assembler to support the buildout of operator cabs for heavy industrial rail equipment. This individual will be responsible for assembling and installing all interior cab components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to engineering specifications. This role is ideal for someone with a background in carpentry, trim work, or mechanical assembly who is comfortable working with measurements, hand tools, and blueprints. Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and install cab interior components including:
- Flooring, walls, and paneling
- Seating and structural fixtures
- Lighting, gauges, and other non-wired components
- Measure, cut, and fit materials to precise specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts to execute builds
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assemblies
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all installed components
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production timelines
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to standards This role is minimum on site 4 days a week in Chesapeake VA.
Compensation:
$21/hr-28/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. - Experience measuring, cutting, and installing materials with precision
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in cabinet making, interior buildouts, or vehicle/industrial assembly
- Previous work in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or transportation industries
- Familiarity with interior installation in confined or structured spaces
