• Virginia Beach, VA / Hampton Roads, VA European Kitchens is a growing kitchen remodeling company specializing exclusively in IKEA kitchens.

Since 2014, we have completed hundreds of IKEA kitchen projects throughout Hampton Roads and beyond. We are looking for a Kitchen Cabinet Assembler to join our team. This position is focused primarily on the accurate and efficient assembly of IKEA kitchen cabinets and related components. What You'll Do Assemble

base, wall, and tall cabinets Assemble IKEA cabinet components according to detailed plans and instructions Install cabinet doors, drawers, hinges, shelves, and interior fittings Assemble and prepare fillers, panels, toe kicks, and other cabinet components Assemble other IKEA systems such as PAX, BILLY, and BESTA when needed Read and follow kitchen layouts, plans, and assembly instructions Ensure cabinets are assembled correctly, square, and ready for installation Inspect assembled cabinets for quality and accuracy Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently Keep the work area clean and organized Identify assembly issues and make appropriate adjustments Coordinate with the installation team to ensure cabinets are properly prepared for installation Demolition and disposal of old cabinets The Ideal Candidate Previous cabinet or furniture assembly experience is a plus, but it is NOT required for this position. We are willing to train the right person. We're looking for someone who: Is comfortable learning to assemble cabinets and furniture Can learn to use power tools and hand tools safely Can accurately follow plans, measurements, and detailed instructions Pays close attention to detail Takes pride in the quality of their work Works efficiently without sacrificing accuracy Can work independently and stay focused on detail-oriented tasks Is reliable, punctual, and responsible Has a positive attitude and works well with a small team IKEA cabinet experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with cabinets, furniture assembly, finish carpentry, remodeling, residential construction, or other hands-on work can be helpful, but we will consider candidates who are new to this type of work and willing to learn. The successful candidate should be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting and moving cabinet components and materials, using power tools and hand tools, and performing detailed assembly work.
