The project manager works with the company's customers directly to assess and help meet their needs. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the direct manufacturing facility. They ensure that safety guidelines are met and any potential risks are eliminated.

$33.65 - $35.00 per hour Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual's education, experience, skills, and qualifications. Position Overview The Junior Project Manager - Manufacturing supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of manufacturing-related projects. This role will focus on initiatives such as process improvements, equipment installation, product line transitions, and operational efficiency projects. The Junior Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, quality, supply chain, and production—to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow into a full Project Manager role within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning project scope, objectives, and deliverables related to manufacturing initiatives. Support new equipment installations, production line setup, and process improvement projects. Develop and maintain manufacturing project schedules, task trackers, and resource allocation plans. Monitor project progress on the shop floor, identify risks or bottlenecks, and escalate issues to leadership. Coordinate cross-functional meetings with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams. Maintain accurate project documentation, including Gantt charts, status reports, and change requests. Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documentation for new processes. Track project expenditures and support budget compliance. Support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 0-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in project coordination or manufacturing project support. Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Skills & Competencies:
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Trello, or Asana). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts, process flow, and continuous improvement practices preferred. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and manufacturing scheduling tools. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Basic understanding of quality systems, production planning, and manufacturing operations. Certification (CAPM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar) is a plus but not required.
