You will own project delivery from concept through production, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets. Responsibilities include translating defense customer requirements into executable plans, managing risk, ensuring compliance with defense and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement. Collaborating within a craftsmanship obsessed, innovation driven culture, you will mentor team members and interface with senior stakeholders and global partners. Responsibilities Lead Liberty Works defense manufacturing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring milestones, quality, and budget targets are met Coordinate cross functional teams in engineering, production, quality, and supply chain to deliver defense components and systems Translate customer and defense program requirements into detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers Monitor project performance, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity Ensure compliance with applicable defense, safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout project execution Report project status, risks, and resource needs to senior leadership and key stakeholders Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, documentation, and project governance Collaborate with BMW Group and external partners to align interfaces, technical requirements, and deliverables Support configuration management, change control, and documentation for defense programs Mentor junior engineers and coordinators, promoting a culture of craftsmanship, safety, and accountability Required Skills Project management Defense or aerospace manufacturing Mechanical or systems engineering Production planning and scheduling Risk management and mitigation Quality management (ISO/AS standards) Configuration and change management Requirements management Earned value or cost/schedule control Technical documentation and reporting
