Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Multi-Plant Materials Manager to lead materials management and supply chain operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role is vital in ensuring seamless coordination of procurement, inventory control, production scheduling, and logistics to optimize efficiency and meet production goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, along with extensive experience in manufacturing environments, supply chain management, and supplier relations. As a key leader, you will drive cross-functional collaboration, implement lean manufacturing principles, and uphold inventory accuracy across all plants to support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Oversee materials planning, procurement, and inventory management across multiple manufacturing sites to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Utilize ERP systems like SAP and to manage procurement workflows, production scheduling, demand planning, and inventory control processes. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop accurate production schedules that align with demand forecasts and capacity constraints. Lead supplier management efforts by establishing strong relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Implement best practices in logistics inventory management and lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. Monitor inventory levels using advanced inventory management systems and spreadsheets; conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy. Coordinate cross-functional communication among procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams to streamline supply chain operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing materials flow, reducing lead times, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. Qualifications Proven experience managing materials or supply chain operations within a manufacturing company environment. Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) modules is essential. Demonstrated expertise in logistics inventory management, procurement, production planning, and demand forecasting. Familiarity with inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting. Excellent supplier management skills with the ability to negotiate contracts and foster long-term vendor relationships. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively across functions in a fast-paced environment; strong cross-functional collaboration skills are required. Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings involving complex supply chains is highly desirable. Pay:
$101,340.85 - $130,000.00 per year
