Plant Production Manager The Assurance Group - 3.4 Hillside, NJ Job Details Full-time $145,000 - $155,000 a year 2 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Inventory management systems (technically supported) Manufacturing facility experience Team development HACCP Production management software Root cause analysis Leadership Full Job Description We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Plant Production Manager to lead daily operations within a 24/5 manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring production is safe, efficient, profitable, and aligned with quality and customer-service expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop salaried supervisors and hourly production employees. Manage production schedules, labor, raw materials, yields, utilities, overtime, and operating supplies. Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling, and Shipping to meet production goals. Establish KPIs and implement continuous-improvement plans focused on efficiency, cost, quality, and safety. Maintain HACCP, personnel safety, housekeeping, and regulatory standards. Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend equipment and process-flow improvements. Coordinate preventive maintenance, scheduled downtime, equipment cleaning, and repairs. Manage production transactions and inventory through the ERP/M3 system. Investigate incidents, customer complaints, and product-quality concerns. Support plant operations during off-hours and assume Plant Manager responsibilities when needed. Ideal Candidate Proven leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production operations, HACCP, safety, and continuous improvement. Experience managing labor, budgets, inventory, yields, KPIs, and production efficiency. ERP experience required; M3 experience strongly preferred. Strong communication, analytical, root-cause problem-solving, and team-development skills. Flexibility to support plant operations as needed.
