For more information visit our website at www.simonandschuster.com. Simon & Schuster is seeking a Production Manager to support the Adult division. In this role, the Production Manager will be part of a fast-paced department handling a broad list of frontlist titles, including one-, two-, and four-color hardcover and paperback originals and conversions. The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of book manufacturing. This role serves as a key liaison across internal departments and external vendors. It requires crisp communication, strong organizational skills, production expertise, and the ability to multitask. Responsibilities Oversee the manufacturing of 150 titles per year Oversee project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are identified and mitigated as early as possible Troubleshoot any manufacturing issues and ensure quality standards are met Guide the creation and maintenance of accurate title specifications in internal systems Oversee purchase order issuance and P&Ls Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors Partner with internal stakeholders across Production, Demand Planning, Managing Ed, Production Editorial, Art Department, Design Qualifications 5 years of book production experience Knowledge of printing and manufacturing processes to include both domestic and overseas vendor management Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple titles Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Exceptional attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and title management systems preferred Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
