Job Description

Position Summary The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including raw material input , processing , screening, packaging, and shipping. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency, managing site budgets, ensuring strict compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and leading a multi-disciplinary team of technicians and laborers. The Plant Manager will also coordinate labor resource allocation in line with customer delivery requirements and equipment work orders, in coordination with the Operations Manager and Customer Relations/ Production Manager. The Plant Manager will also provide oversight for the field service teams providing cryogenic services. \n
Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence:
Direct all daily production activities to meet output targets, product purity standards, and delivery schedules
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to federal and state regulations, including OSHA safety standards, environmental permits, and air/water quality compliance
Maintenance & Reliability:
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for heavy industrial equipment, including conveyors , kilns , packaging systems and transport equipment
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage production supervisors, maintenance technicians and field service technicians, fostering a collaborative, accountability-driven culture
Budget & Cost Control:
Jointly d evelop and manage the plant's operational budget ( OpEx ) and capital expenditure ( CapEx ) projects with the Operations Manager to reduce waste and improve cost metrics
Quality Assurance:
Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure mineral outputs consistently meet specific chemical and physical tolerances required by clients
Qualifications Experience:
5 + years of operations management experience in a heavy industrial setting, specifically within mineral processing, mining, aggregates, or cement manufacturin g
Education:
Technical d egree in Mining, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering , or a related technical field , desired . Equivalent experience in lieu of formal education will be considered
Regulatory Expertise:
P ractical knowledge of O SHA regulations, workplace safety protocols, and environmental permitting
Technical Skills:
U nderstanding of mineral processing systems required . Mechanical and electrical trade experience required , with previous hands-on experience . Must be comfortable in confined spaces and able to work at heights up to 2 00 feet with personal protective equipment and fall prevention devices . Ability to work seamlessly with MS Office applications key to success
Leadership:
Proven track record of managing diverse workforce teams, resolving operational bottlenecks, and implementing continuous improvement methodologies \n
