Job Function Assist with supervising the day-to-day operations of plant personnel, including scheduling coil processing and overseeing workflow efficiency. Support quality and productivity initiatives within metal processing operations. Assist in managing inbound and outbound shipments, storage, and inventory control. Assist with hiring, training, supervising, and developing plant employees. Help maintain effective training programs and accurate employee records. Conduct or assist with employee performance reviews. Interact with customers, potential customers, and suppliers to meet needs and resolve issues. Analyze customer requirements and assist in handling emergency customer situations. Work closely with the Plant Manager and General Manager to develop short- and long-term operational goals. Recommend policies and procedures related to storage, transportation, and processing operations. Prepare operational reports and communicate plant performance metrics. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. Required Skills Experience managing or assisting with plant operations and personnel. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and management. Experience preparing reports, recommendations, and operational documentation. Knowledge of coil metal products and metal processing operations. Familiarity with transportation, storage, and inventory control practices. Knowledge of shop operating procedures and workflow management. Understanding of metal processing equipment, including operation, maintenance, and repair. Knowledge of flatness standards, cutting tolerances, and related industry requirements. Strong work ethic with dependable attendance and a commitment to teamwork. Positive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in plant operations or a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience assisting with supervision of employees and production activities preferred.Benefits
