Plant Manager
Job Description
Plant Manager Mid-Am Metal Forming is actively seeking a plant manager for its Williston, South Carolina location. The plant manager is responsible for overseeing all daily activities of the Williston plant.
Examples include:
- Scheduling employees, machines, and projects
- Developing and directing a team of approximately 12 people
- Maintaining a safety-oriented environment
- Performance evaluations of staff
- Ensuring effective customer communication
- Providing feedback to the sales and estimating team regarding lead times, costs, and constraints
- Developing and maintaining a positive and safe work environment
- Troubleshooting and coordinating solutions with issues tied to job requirements, staff, and machine problems
- Reporting daily and monthly production metrics to senior leadership at a different location
- Interviewing, hiring, and training staff
- Communicate with customers regarding new projects and following up on existing projects
- Assist in planning projects and establishing timelines The Williston plant is a satellite location of a larger company based in Missouri.
- High school diploma or GED (some college preferred)
- Experience managing at least 12 direct reports in a manufacturing environment
- Stable work history
- Strong communications skills and above average mathematical understanding
- Must have experience in leading teams and evaluating employees.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, quality measurements, and OSHA requirements.
- Problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong initiative and follow through.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong ability to use Window-based PC software.
Pay:
