Job Description
We are looking to add additional talent and resources to our Des Moines office. We are looking to expand our workload with current customers and are excited about the opportunity to add more crews. As a team, we service the Des Moines area as well as occasional travel in de Iowa area. This posting is for a Foreman role, but we are also looking for additional Operators and Laborers to train and build with. An Underground Foreman's primary duty is to direct the activities of everyone and everything on his or her job site. He or She must consider everything and make sound judgments; this person is the leader on the crew that all others look to for direction, motivation, and indication of success. The Underground Foreman must communicate what is expected and what needs to be done in order to make the job site as efficient, safe, and profitable as possible. An Underground Foreman must be able to perform the following required tasks. Direct the activities of all those on-the-job site so the crew is running as efficient as possible in order to maximize daily production Lead the crew in assigning certain daily and projected-specific tasks, communicate expectations, and inform them of any changes in schedule due to equipment issues, weather, etc. Must be able to locate, measure, and mark required site locations using various measuring devices and prints Evaluate and plan for each job by reading and interpreting blueprints, estimating material, and personnel needs, and providing anticipated construction progress Lead all training with crew members in areas in need of improvement. Communicate with the Managers about what the company can do to assist the foreman with training. Follow safety requirements and ensure that all those on the job site adhere to all safety requirements. Manage any initial performance and/or disciplinary issues on the crew. Work with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance and results. Communicate with the Project Coordinator at the end of the day and/or at the completion of an assigned project so he or she has a better idea of how to assist the Operations Manager in determining the next day's schedule. Complete and turn in daily production sheets with highlighted maps showing what was accomplished for the day' examine and inspect the work progress, equipment, and the construction site to verify safe conditions and to ensure that it is meeting or exceeding the project's stated requirements Maintain equipment in proper working condition and work with the shop mechanic in scheduling the equipment out of the field so it can be serviced Maintain assigned tooling and communicate issues Represent the company while on the job site and serve as the point of contact for the customer and general public Communication Data Link offers: Competitive Wages CDL Assistance Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Holidays Company provided uniforms 401k match Cell Phone Reimbursement Work expectations:
Standard Work Week:
Monday-Friday; 7 am - 5 pm; Weekend work may be required with little or no notice; work schedule determined by season, weather, deadlines, and availability of workTravel:

at times will be exposed to various contaminants, like exhausted vapors, gas/diesel fumes, and dust; be subjected to noisy conditions; diverse weather conditions, including high heat (over 90°), freezing conditions (below 15°), and all forms of precipitation (high humidity/snow/rain)Physical Conditions:
Able to frequently move objects weighing in excess of 100lbs for distances greater than fifty feet; remain in a stationary position for several hours; able to move from one location to another around the Jobsite; must be able to manipulate various controls on equipment; ability to constantly be able to reposition oneselfJob Type:
