Description:

A Production Lead oversees the production process for specific product lines. They ensure that the product is produced in accordance with all specifications, quality requirements, and in a timely manner to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities:

Organize workers to meet delivery schedule Instruct and enforce that work procedures are followed Ensure product specifications are met Meet quality assurance standards and requirements Instruct how to use tools and equipment Identify ways to improve quality or speed of production Identify ways to reduce costs to build product Ensure that higher quantities produced do not compromise quality Instruct on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Monitor safety activities of workers Report safety incidents Encourage team effort and supportive attitudes between workers Updating and maintaining data base and line schedules Other cross training or cross team duties, as assigned
