Onsite Manufacturing Facility About the Opportunity We're seeking a motivated and hands-on Unit Supervisor to lead production team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency while fostering a positive and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with proven leadership experience and a passion for continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and support hourly production employees to meet daily safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, safety communications, and corrective action initiatives. Ensure team members are properly trained and equipped to perform their work successfully. Monitor production schedules and coordinate activities to achieve operational objectives. Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve concerns. Support quality initiatives and ensure products meet established standards. Coach, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a positive work environment. Manage employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters as needed. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources teams to support business goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean/5S activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience. Experience supporting manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution operations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Flexibility to support alternate shifts when operational needs require. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading hourly employees in a manufacturing environment. Experience working within a union environment. Knowledge of union policies, procedures, and work rules. Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S experience. Experience driving employee engagement and workplace improvement initiatives.
