(USA), INC. 2nd Shift (Evening) Machining Supervisor Plant 6 Machining | Shelbyville, Indiana Ryobi is adding a 2nd Shift (Evening) Machining Supervisor. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred, but it is not a requirement. This position will be responsible for leading machining associates to maximize product quality and quantity with available personnel, material, and equipment in the safest and most efficient manner. What Will You Do? Direct the activities of, coach, and provide support to all personnel assigned to the operations of the machining plant. Assure that people are using safe work methods. Execute production plans in accordance with customer delivery requirements. Ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and is being repaired when needed. Provide training to machine plant department personnel. Communicate and coordinate with all departments to resolve problems that arise and to improve efficiencies and reduce waste. Review daily production reports so as to identify problem areas and initiate corrective action. Follow up on these to assure that the problem does not recur. Prepare and conduct employee performance evaluations. Recognize employees for their positive contributions to the successful operations of the department. Perform employee counseling and corrective actions. Coach employees on improving performance, behavior, and teamwork. Participate in dismissals or suspensions when required. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. What Will You Need? High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years previous manufacturing experience Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred) Supervision or leadership experience highly preferred Machining experience preferred Why Ryobi?
