Our overall goals are to learn and succeed together. Position Description Lead the QC inspectors and lab technicians so as to maximize their efficiency in supporting the production process. Responsible for the supervision of Quality Control personnel. Coordinate scheduling of overtime and coverage for vacation and absences in Quality Control. Responsible for training/development of Quality Control personnel. Assist inspectors and lab technicians in providing timely feedback to production personnel. Support Quality Engineers in problem solving, statistical studies and discrepant material reviews/dispositions. Analyze, interpret and communicate product standards, specifications, and customer expectations to all plant personnel. Assist the QA Manager in developing and maintaining quality procedures and records. Create an atmosphere conducive to quick and accurate feedback to production while maintaining the morale and self esteem of the quality team. Maintain all laboratory and porosity inspection equipment including the Lab Manual procedures and preventive maintenance. Responsible for reducing non-conforming castings. Interact with customers as necessary to improve product quality, affect continuous improvement, and improve goodwill with customers. Follow and enforce RDC safety and conduct rules as published. Lead RDC personnel in the resolution of quality related issues. Responsible for completion of maintenance PM's on QC hard gage equipment. Support coverage of Quality Control personnel. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Develop own methods to achieve results, receives little supervision on day to day activities. Supervise Quality Control team, including giving team evaluations and recommending disciplinary action as necessary. Share job details to
