Job Description

Western Industries Plastic Products, LLC is a global leader in custom large-part blow molding with more than 30 years of manufacturing excellence. We design and produce innovative, high-quality plastic solutions. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to help oversee the safety, performance, and productivity of Quality Department personnel while ensuring compliance with the company's quality management system in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As a Quality Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality Manager, along with all other company departments, in driving continuous improvement, maintaining product quality standards, and meeting both internal and external customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Work with the Quality Manager and other company departments to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process issues and customer complaints. Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the quality management system. Supervise Quality Auditors to ensure products and processes meet established quality standards. Conduct competency evaluations for new employees and ensure completion of required training. Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing development for quality staff, including line auditors and technicians. Ensure team members follow detailed specifications and properly use measurement and monitoring equipment. Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Address employee concerns, respond to questions, and collaborate with management to resolve issues promptly. Enforce company policies, maintain documentation, and administer progressive discipline when necessary. Adhere to all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards. Work Environment & Physical Demands Office and manufacturing support environment. Frequent standing, walking, stair climbing, and lifting up to 80 lbs may be required. Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse settings, which may include exposure to extreme heat, moderate to loud noise levels, and industrial equipment. Required Skills Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to problem-solving. Effective leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization. Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities with ability to prioritize and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to self-manage and self-start on projects, able to work with minimal supervision. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Formal education in Quality Management is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment and quality systems may be substituted. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems. Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions). Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat. Position Type/Work Schedule Full-time, salary position.
Standard shift:
7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., additional hours may be required, including weekends and holidays, as business needs arise. Flexibility to work off-shifts as needed.
