Job Type:
Full-Time We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Louisville, KY. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, supervising employees, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved on shift. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, and the ability to manage production flow while promoting a positive and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Complete daily production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring workflow, revising schedules, and resolving operational issues. Direct and coordinate shift activities to meet production and delivery goals. Monitor and maintain quality standards, including SPC, polar charts, print conformance, and corrective actions. Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce waste. Assist with customer issue response and resolution as needed. Ensure all safety, housekeeping, and maintenance standards are maintained throughout the facility. Monitor employee attendance, maintain time-off calendars, review and approve time sheets, and process E-time transactions. Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Kanban initiatives. Provide clear communication, work instructions, and periodic presentations to employees and leadership. Lead projects and support operational improvements across the department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred. Experience working in a union environment is a plus. Experience leading and supervising a diverse workforce. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Kanban methodologies. Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills. Strong focus on quality, safety, and process improvement. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Must have a strong attendance record and professional work history.
