Job Description
JobsRUs.com is now hiring for a 2nd shift Injection Molding Supervisor for a well-known automotive parts manufacturing facility in Fraser, MI! The position requires prior Injection Molding experiene.
Position Summary:
The role of a Technical Supervisor is to manage the production equipment performance and manage personnel issues and the Health, Safety amp; Environment (HSE) standards of a team of technicians. The main missions of the role are to: Lead the Quality, Cost amp; Delivery (QCD) Performance for a team of technicians: o Direct QCD initiatives: set targets, define and implement action plans, track daily results, make appropriate adjustments in resource planning (personnel and equipment) to efficiently meet customer demand while controlling costs associated with overtime, set-up, maintenance, material, etc. o Constantly monitor production equipment to ensure optimal operation and attainment of strict quality specifications.o Drive actions for improvement:
communicate with the UAP Manager, Production Supervisors, Process Engineers, and support functions to ensure a transparent information flow, collaborate to define improvement areas and action plans.o Manage team performance:
know team problems, define areas for performance improvements with team members, drive teamwork, drive troubleshooting, lead problem solving groups (QRQC, etc.), lead workshops on quality improvement (5S, TPM, 6M…). o Provide technical support including troubleshooting and solving problems related to process, equipment, tooling, materials or other manufacturing issues. Participate, in liaison with the Manufacturing Engineering Department, in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) system. Manage the personnel issues of a team of technicians: o Ensure daily team management: assure appropriate headcount, ensure the respect of standardised work methods, assure presence on the floor to answer questions or address problems.o Develop the team:
ensure proper staffing, integrate new team members, foster individual development plans, advise and arrange for appropriate training, assure punctual job evaluations, etc. Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Group HSE standards: interfere in production line in case of safety risks and drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics. Participate to the Manufacturing Engineering network: contribute to the Engineering Change Management process, support program launch, update manufacturing routines, capitalized on lessons learned and provide best practices, carry out process productivity analysis. Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company. Education /Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Production 1-3 years of production experience Team Player Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Proficient level of English Please submit resumeSimilar remote jobs
