Job Description

Key Objectives:
Plan, organize, direct and allocate resources and equipment to run operations effectively and efficiently to meet or exceed customer expectations. Increase production efficiency and flexibility while controlling cost and eliminating waste to achieve productivity targets. Responsible for the department's performance in production output, part quality and on-time delivery to our customer requirements. Foster a process driven culture and initiate corrective actions to address areas of weakness. Responsible for the training, development and growth of the manufacturing employees. Commitment to plant safety and organization. Address employee issues and create an atmosphere of high employee performance and morale. Support and drive company systems, objectives and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning, Organizing, Directing and Allocating resources and equipment: Mange the work centers. o Daily schedules are being prepared and effective. o Employees are being placed in the right places for success. o Equipment is being optimized for success. o All employees understand performance expectations.
Increase Production Efficiency and Flexibility:
Understand what the processes and employees are capable of. Identify and lead activities and projects to eliminate waste and inefficiencies. Drive continuous improvement activities to prepare for growth.
KPI Performance:
Ensure work centers understand Key Performance Indicators. Track and communicate performance. Meet and exceed expectations.
Process Driven Culture:
Promote established processes as the way we do the work. Encourage teams to use the tools available to change and improve poor processes. Maintain a healthy level of audits, feedback and corrective actions to ensure manufacturing is in alignment with the processes. Training, Development and Growth of the
Employees:
Be committed to following the Training Program. Monitor training is on-time and effective. Identify and qualify trainers within the different operations. Perform reviews with new employees and other trainees to ensure knowledge is being absorbed. Continuous improvement of the training documentation and resources. Ensure adequate flexibility to achieve KPIs. Foster a culture of excellence that allows employees to develop and grow personally.
Plant Safety and Organization:
Maintain an environment with zero unsafe conditions. Promote safe work practices and adherence to safety policies. Maintain a high level of 5S principles within the work environment. Ensure equipment is kept clean, preventative maintenance schedules are current and spare parts lists are maintained.
High Employee Performance and Morale:
Create a culture and environment where people want to work. Be accessible to employees and teams. Be willing to address employee issues and concerns timely and completely. Build a culture of trust and unity.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
Technical:
Knowledge of powder coating equipment, processes and best practices. Ability to interpret customer specific action and quality standards.
Administrative:
Ability to prepare daily work schedules and allocate resources and equipment. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and work procedures. Proficient applying mathematical concepts. Proficient with computers, including ERP system and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Interpersonal and Employee Management:
Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships. Ability to collaborate with and as a part of different teams. Strong team building and people management skills to produce positive outcomes. Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific concepts to a wide variety of intellectual and practical problems. Understanding of and ability to execute project management techniques. Good decision-making skills. Proactively works to identify and manage risks. Explores opportunities to achieve a high standard of executional performance. Self-motivated and directed individual that is both task and goal oriented. A drive for excellence and results.
