Job Summary:

As a Gasket Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines. You will oversee the production process, monitor equipment performance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Monitor machine performance, conduct regular inspections, and report issues related to machine performance ensuring equipment is working effectively.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure product quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Maintain production records, including machine logs, quality control data, and production reports.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals and resolve operational issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Provide leadership by coaching team members to maximum efficiency
• Act liaison with managers in absence of Production Manager
• Complete and maintain safety trainings and/or certifications as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certification or vocational training in related field preferred
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production machinery and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
• Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machining fluids.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Status:

Full Time - Work hours are Monday through Friday and depend on assigned shift. Flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
