Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
This position supervises employees in a manufacturing environment. The production supervisor plans and assigns work to employees according to company guidelines. Implements policies and procedures. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Responsible for day-to-day management of Production. Keeps record of employees' schedules, attendance, and performance.

Other Requirements:
  • This position may require frequent, last-minute overtime work over the weekend.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Prior Supervisory experience in a manufacturing department.
  • Previous experience operating machinery.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, with frequent lifting, pulling, pushing.
  • Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 50 pounds without aid.
  • Must be able to work 10 hour days.
  • Must be able to tolerate all weather conditions, as work is in a non-climate controlled building.
Work Environment:
In an open-air warehouse, regardless of the weather. Subjected to noises common with the use of machinery.
