Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The OEM Assistant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the OEM production line, characterized by repeat panel assemblies completed in production batches. This role will assist with supervision of employees, optimize productivity, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:
1)Direct Oversight of Daily Operations:
Supervise daily activities on the OEM production line, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. Focus on the hands-on management of production batches to maximize efficiency, quality, and consistency. 2)Workforce Management:
Directly manage the production team members, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. Collaborate with Human Resources to promptly address staffing challenges such as attendance issues, skill gaps, or performance issues 3)Quality Control:
Implement and monitor quality control measures at the operational level, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with internal requirements and customer requirements. 4)Training and Development:
Conduct on-the-job training for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing team members. Ensure all personnel are proficient in safety practices and operational procedures. 5)Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve operational problems on the production floor, making quick decisions to address workflow interruptions, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues. 6)Reporting and Feedback:
Provide regular reports on production progress, quality metrics, and any issues to the Production Manager. Offer feedback on process improvements, efficiency gains, and potential areas for continuous improvement. 7)Safety Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring team adherence to safety protocols. 8)Inventory Management:
Oversee the inventory of consumable materials and tools required for production, ensuring adequate supplies are available and reordering stock as necessary.Measurements:
1) On-time delivery of assemblies. 2) Quality record of assemblies. 3) Employee Utilization 4)Employee Efficiency Education and Experience:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent experience Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience a plus Proven leadership expertise with supervisory experienceSoft Skills:
Manage resources and schedules. Adaptability to navigate a dynamic manufacturing environment. Solve personnel and staffing issues. Build a sense of teamwork and cooperation on the shop floor. Ability to guide all team members and delegate resource responsibilities. Provide constructive feedback when employees do not meet expectations. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with high performing teams of diverse individuals. Organizational skills Must be able to solve problems and react quickly to issues. Compatible with company culture and principles.Hard Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) ERP or Production Scheduling Software a plus Full Knowledge of Industrial Control Panel assembly processJob Type:

$60,000- $75,000
Schedule:
Shop is open Monday through Friday, 6:00 am- 6:00 pm. Must be available to work from 6:00 am
- 6:00 pm. ( schedule is 7:00 am
- 4:00 pm ) Weekend availability: Saturdays from 6:00 am
- 2:00 pm.
