Description
Job Summary The Tank Foreman is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with overseeing field crews/equipment, interacting between Matrix personnel, QA/QC and the customer/client, and assisting with mentoring and coaching of field personnel. This posting will be used to fill multiple field supervision roles on project sites; candidates are expected to travel to various project sites as needed throughout the year (Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, etc.). Essential Functions Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure that all code and customer requirements have been met.
Assist in planning work schedule, determining personnel needed, material quantities and equipment requirements.
Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained.
Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving such problems, as required.
Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures, and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required.
Perform additional responsibilities, as directed. Qualifications Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks - focus on Tank Maintenance and Repair experience is required
Experience running a crew is required
Ability to read blueprints
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and/or willingness to learn.
Knowledge of API standards, preferred.
Ability to travel to multiple project sites in different states throughout the year is required.
