Production Team Members rotate through key stations in the manufacturing process, including block prep and grinding support, scale and weight verification, and Multivac packaging support. The role focuses on making sure every stage of production runs safely and efficiently, and that the business meets its production goals and timelines. A great Production Team Member is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a cold, fast-paced environment. On-the-job training is provided, so a willingness to learn and improve is a must. Being a team player is essential since all stations require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal is to keep production running smoothly to maximize efficiency and quality.

Duties:

Sanitarily unpack, inspect, and load 60-pound frozen blocks of meat onto conveyors for grinding (Block Person stations). Verify proper weight of finished boxed product and monitor packaging quality (Scale Operator stations). Assist machine operators with set-up, monitoring, and breakdown of Multivac and Formax packaging equipment (Multivac Helper stations). Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety procedures. Wear required PPE (rubber gloves, plastic apron/sleeves, bump hat, eye and ear protection). Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds. Standing and walking for the full shift, in temperatures of 40-50 degrees (occasionally below 10 degrees Fahrenheit). Keep work area clean and organized. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school or equivalent desired, but not mandatory. Don't let a lack of a diploma or GED stop you from applying!

Scale Operator positions require a minimum of 1 year of Quality Control experience in a production setting.
