About Us Carolina Rolling Co. Inc. is a metal forming and rolling shop specializing in precision rolling of plates, pipes, tubes, angles, channels, beams, flat bars, and cones. We serve industries including pressure vessel manufacturing, structural steel, and custom fabrication. Our shop handles everything from tight-radius pipe bends to large-diameter plate rolls, working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. What You'll Do Operate 3-roll and 4-roll plate rolling machines to form flat plate into cylinders, cones, and custom curved shapes Set up and run pipe/tube bending equipment for round, square, and rectangular tubing Roll structural shapes including angles, channels, I-beams, tee bars, and flat bars to specified radii Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders with rolling specifications (ID, OD, ISR, OSR measurements) Use measuring tools (tape, calipers, chord/rise gauges) to verify rolled dimensions meet tolerances Perform Easy Way (EW), Hard Way (HW), and On-Edge (OE) rolling per job requirements Handle complete ring rolling with tangent allowances and multi-segment assemblies Work with materials ranging from thin gauge to heavy plate across carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum Operate press brake for forming operations as needed Maintain equipment, perform basic machine maintenance, and keep work area organized Communicate with shop management on job status, material issues, and quality concerns What We're Looking For Experience operating plate rolls, angle rolls, or pipe/tube bending equipment (2+ years preferred, will train the right candidate) Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and understand rolling specifications Familiarity with measuring tools and checking rolled parts to tolerance Knowledge of different steel types and how material properties affect rolling Basic math skills for calculating circumferences, chord/rise, and verifying diameters Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently ASME code work experience is a plus but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Steady, full-time work in a well-equipped shop Hands-on training on our equipment Opportunity to grow your skills across multiple machine types Small team environment where your work matters
