Job Description
New Village Arts is seeking dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Production Crew members to support the physical and operational needs of our productions, events, and facilities. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in helping prepare and maintain the spaces and materials that make live theatre possible. At NVA, Production Crew work is focused primarily on build and strike, with additional support for setup, organization, and basic facilities needs as assigned. What you'll do: Assist with scenery build, installation, load-in, and strike Help assemble, paint, touch up, move, and store scenic and production materials Support setup and breakdown for rehearsals, performances, events, and rentals Assist with room setups, organization, supply stocking, and minor facilities-related support Maintain clean, safe, and organized production, storage, backstage, and shared-use spaces Use tools, ladders, materials, and equipment safely and responsibly Work closely with the Technical Manager and other team members to support production and operational needs We're looking for someone who: Enjoys hands-on, physically active work Is reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions well Works safely, efficiently, and collaboratively Has strong attention to detail and a good work ethic Is available to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as needed based on production schedules Has previous experience in scenic build, production support, events, facilities, or similar work preferred, though not required At New Village Arts, every production depends on the work that happens behind the scenes.
