Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating punch presses and related machinery to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate punch presses and forming machines to produce metal parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and tooling instructions accurately to ensure proper machine setup. Use precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and manufacturing standards during all phases of machine operation. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and accessories for different production runs. Coordinate with team members for efficient workflow, material handling, and proper machine operation. Maintain detailed records of production quantities, machine settings, and quality checks for documentation purposes. Experience Proven experience operating punch presses or similar metal forming equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, welding, and electrical discharge machining is advantageous. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools. Knowledge of shop math, safety standards in production environments, and quality control procedures. Experience with tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, hand tools usage, and assembly processes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
