full-time A growing fashion brand is looking for a Direct-Hire Purchasing/Production Assistant. About the Role This role will focus on managing the purchase of raw materials and ensuring timely communication with mills and vendors. You will play a key role in maintaining development timelines, approvals, and overall production flow from concept through delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Design teams to review and approve fabrics, trims, lab dips, and strike-offs
  • Communicate approvals and provide clear feedback on rejections to mills and vendors
  • Create and manage purchase orders for all raw materials
  • Track submissions, approvals, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors as needed
  • Prepare and maintain approved bulk standards for factory reference
  • Monitor production calendars to ensure materials arrive within required timelines
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation across all development stages Qualifications
  • Experience in purchasing, production, or raw materials within apparel
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and garment components
  • Experience working with design teams on approvals (lab dips, strike-offs, trims)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
