Responsibilities Enforce safety standards in production areas, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements including Good Manufacturing Practices. The Packaging Line Lead will ensure he/she works with the department supervisor to minimize overtime and follow established priorities within the direction received by management. Ensure packaging operators follow instructions as defined by packaging batch records, including usage of proper packaging components and date codes. Responsible for ensuring packaging operators practice proper setup and line clearance prior to the start of each job according to established Standard Operating Procedures. Responsible for accurately completing any pertinent information needed on the cleaning logs and/or batch records. The Packaging Line Lead is responsible for overseeing designated packaging line to ensure area is kept in an organized, clean manner. As a production line lead, you are responsible for verifying the job being produced matches exactly with the Packaging instructions on the paperwork. It is your responsibility to notify the QA department, Supervisor and/or Manager if there is a discrepancy. Oversees finished product that meets quality standards by performing quality checks throughout the production run. The production line lead is responsible for ensuring the next job is staged and ready to produce after the previous job is finished, and the line is completely clear of all products from the previous job. Responsible for ensuring the line(s) cleaning logs are filled out properly, and all paperwork is filled out correctly and signed by the employees responsible prior to starting a new job. Assist in the training of production line personnel. Responsible for assigning work and setting goals and expectations daily. Experience Proven experience operating packaging machines within a manufacturing or food production environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively. Bilingual (Spanish) desired. Familiarity with GMP standards, safety regulations, and industrial safety practices in a manufacturing setting. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping. Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
