This role blends core Production Operator I responsibilities with recycling and sorting activities, ensuring all materials and products meet rPlanet's safety, quality, and GMP standards. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work, can maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment, and are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Safety, Quality & Food Safety Make safety the number one priority and comply with all rPlanet safety policies, OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures. Adhere to rPlanet's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and HACCP‑related prerequisite programs. Perform continuous visual and physical inspections to identify quality defects, contamination risks, or unacceptable materials. Report quality or safety issues immediately to team members and shift leadership. Maintain housekeeping standards on the production line and surrounding areas. Production & Sorting Operations Operate on assigned production areas to support product flow, quality, and throughput targets. Sort materials on a moving conveyor, removing unacceptable or non‑conforming items according to standards. Distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable materials quickly and accurately. Support minor troubleshooting and relief duties as needed to minimize downtime. Ensure required raw materials are available to maintain continuous production. Documentation & Team Support Accurately complete required production and quality documentation on an hourly or shift basis. Communicate effectively with production, quality, and recycling teams to support operational goals. Demonstrate flexibility to work in multiple assigned production or sorting areas. Support continuous improvement efforts and follow standard operating procedures at all times. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work 8-12 hour shifts, including days or nights as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, production, recycling, or material sorting environments. Familiarity with food manufacturing, GMP, or quality inspection processes. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Work Environment & Physical Demands Prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift. Ability to work around moving conveyor belts and mechanical equipment. Exposure to moderate to high noise levels and varying temperatures.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour
