POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Production Department. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate production records, entering production and inventory data, preparing reports, tracking production materials, and supporting production supervisors and operators with day-to-day administrative needs. The Production Clerk works closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Inventory teams to ensure production information is accurate, timely, and properly documented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, maintain, and organize daily production paperwork and records. Enter production information, quantities, downtime, scrap, waste, and other manufacturing data into company systems. Verify production records for accuracy and completeness. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Track production schedules and communicate updates or changes to appropriate personnel. Assist Production Supervisors with daily administrative tasks. Maintain production logs, batch records, checklists, and other required documentation. Ensure completed production documents are properly filed and retained. Accurately enter production and operational data into ERP, manufacturing, or other company systems. Review data for errors, discrepancies, or missing information. Maintain spreadsheets and databases used by the Production Department. Generate reports and distribute information to appropriate departments. Assist with maintaining production performance information, including output, efficiency, downtime, and waste. Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, food safety procedures, and applicable OSHA regulations. Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, production, and business information. Ensure production records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Report safety, quality, food safety, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Provide administrative support to the Production Department as needed. Assist with special projects and process-improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education High school diploma or equivalent. Experience 1-2 years of clerical, administrative, production, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience. Strong data-entry and organizational skills. Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to accurately enter and maintain large amounts of information. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment. Experience with an ERP, production management, inventory, or manufacturing system. Experience with production reporting, inventory transactions, or manufacturing documentation. Familiarity with GMP, food safety, or other manufacturing quality requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and effectively use company computer systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Combination of office and manufacturing plant environments. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering production area, including hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), safety glasses, hearing protection, closed-toed shoes, and other required PPE. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to support business operations. Physical Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
