Production Associate — Evening Shift (MonThu, 2:30pm12:30am) — $20/hr + Benefits — Own Vehicle Req
Job Description
Apply here: https://form.typeform.com/to/t2rStVC4 — takes about 8 minutes. We make food — powder blends for consumer brands, mixed and packed here in Arvada. You'd be on the floor with a small crew of 3-4 people, weighing ingredients, running blends, and packing finished product. The shift Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Four days, 40 hours — and a three-day weekend, every week.
Read this before you apply:
you need your own vehicle. The shift lets out at 12:30 AM . Buses aren't running at that hour and it's dark. A bike, or a ride you're not certain about, will not work. We've had people accept and then realize they can't get home The pay and benefits $20/hr to start $150/month health insurance stipend — added to your paycheck to help you cover a plan on Connect for Health Colorado. We don't have a company health plan; this is how we help instead. It's paid as wages, so it's yours to use how you want. 401(k) with a company match up to 4% Quarterly profit share — our last one worked out to an extra $2-3 per hour for everyone Breaks and meals are paid What you'd actually be doing Weighing and scaling raw ingredients against the batch record — often to the gram Loading the mixer: carrying 25 kg (55 lb) bags up a 4-step platform Working alongside the equipment operators to keep the line running Quality checks on finished product before it goes in the case Packing, inspecting and palletizing — this is where most of your shift actually goes. Pouches off the end of the line, checked, packed, stacked, wrapped Keeping the run count: knowing how many units came off the line and reporting it straight The honest part You'll be on your feet for most of a 10-hour shift and repeatedly lifting up to 55 lbs. It's a food plant, so hairnets, beard nets, handwashing, no jewelry, and phones stay in a locker in the break room. About the cleaning — read this part twice There is a lot of it, and it isn't the wipe-down-at-close kind. We run egg, milk, soy, sesame, tree nut and fish ingredients, so when we change products the equipment comes apart — mixer, hopper, filler, scales — gets cleaned, and gets inspected and signed off before we're allowed to run anything else. On a changeover day that's hours, not minutes. Nobody is exempt from it and nobody gets to hand it off to someone else. If you read that and thought "fine, I'd rather work somewhere clean," you'll do well here. If your heart sank a little, this isn't the job — and we'd both rather find that out now than in week two. How we train We train on the job, so expect to be shown how to do things and coached until they're right. No experience in food production required — we can train someone with a good work ethic, attention to detail, and a good attitude. And it goes somewhere. Our equipment operators and supervisors came up this way — associate first, then running equipment, then leading a crew. We promote off this floor. To apply Fill out the application here: https://form.typeform.com/to/t2rStVC4 Takes about 8 minutes. There are a few questions about the actual work — answer them honestly, we're not expecting perfect. Owen Family Foods
