Pulper Operator PM15 Ahlstrom - 3.2 Windsor Locks, CT Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Basic math English Master's degree High school diploma or GED Manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Purpose of the job / Position description The Pulper Operator is responsible for the staging and addition of raw materials used in the production of high-quality production. Fully understands the operation of the Pulper, Stock chests and Saveall system. Is responsible to consistently monitor, identify and segregate any non-conforming raw materials and report such to the Machine Tender and/or Team Lead. To work safely and independently.. Main responsibilities Identify all equipment and systems related to raw material handling and processing and know their function in non-woven production. Identify, segregate and label any non-conforming raw material. Responsible for the staging and addition of raw materials to the pulper for production. Also for the proper operation of the Pulper Refiner and associated stock chests as well as the Saveall and floor trench system. Prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little or no supervision. Safely and properly clean and maintain all required pulper, stock chests and related equipment. Possess mechanical abilities to safely dismantle and re-assemble machine equipment related to machine clothing changes. Comply with all Ahlstrom Fiber Composites Safety, Environmental and production policies and procedures. Perform other related projects and machine duties as assigned by Machine Tender and/or Team Lead. Qualifications (minimum level of knowledge and skills to fulfill one's responsibilities) Work experience needed Possess a high level of agility. Ability to work safely in a hot and wet environment for extended periods of time. Ability to work with various natural and man made fibers and chemicals. Ability to work in confined spaces with all required P.P.E. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. Minimum formal education Master's degree Bachelor's degree Professional No requirements Required competencies Primary competencies (mapped to job role) Possess a high school or equivalent education. Ability to read, write and understand fluent English and basic math. Minimum requirement of 2-4 years of manufacturing experience. Previous non-woven machine experience preferred.
