In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and configuring various press machines to ensure efficient and precise production of metal components. Your expertise in machine setup, technical blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will be essential to maintaining high-quality output and operational excellence. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment dedicated to precision metal fabrication. Responsibilities Set up and operate a variety of press machines, including stamping presses, forming machines, and press brake equipment, ensuring proper configuration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately to determine tooling and machine adjustments. Perform machining tasks such as CNC laser cutting, CNC milling, CNC lathe operations, and electrical discharge machining as required. Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments and tools to verify part dimensions and quality standards. Maintain safety protocols during machine operation, ensuring compliance with all safety standards in production environments. Adjust tooling, calibrate machines, and troubleshoot issues to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime. Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, machine maintenance, and quality inspections to uphold manufacturing excellence. Utilize shop math skills for calculations related to material dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters. Conduct routine inspections of finished parts for adherence to quality specifications through measurement and visual assessment. Maintain accurate records of machine setups, adjustments, and production data for process documentation. Experience Proven experience operating press machines such as stamping presses, press brakes, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and the use of CNC laser cutting or plasma cutting equipment. Experience with machining tools setup, tooling selection, and precision measurement instruments. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments related to metal fabrication and machine operation. Basic shop math skills necessary for calculations involving measurements and tolerances. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Prior experience working with welding, forming machines, or sheet metal fabrication is advantageous but not mandatory.
