Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental health and safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations, environmental management systems, and workplace safety protocols across all manufacturing processes. Provide training and development sessions on safety regulations, hazard recognition, emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid, and environmental compliance measures. Prepare detailed reports on incident investigations, regulatory compliance status, and safety performance metrics to support continuous improvement efforts. Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law and legal requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote occupational health initiatives that safeguard employee health while adhering to regulatory standards. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, hazardous materials regulations, environmental management systems, and environmental regulatory compliance standards. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on workplace safety and environmental health practices. Excellent report writing skills coupled with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Certified in CPR and first aid; knowledge of OSHA's training requirements is highly desirable. Familiarity with EPA regulations related to emissions, waste management, and chemical handling. Ability to interpret complex regulatory/legal compliance standards in production settings. Effective communication skills for delivering training sessions and conducting safety briefings; experience in developing training & development programs is a plus.
