SUMMARY Primary contact for New Projects and confirms all tasks are completed for launch of New Model.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare ECI/New Part Order sheet after receiving information and prints from marketing; track ECI changes by project. Prepare master component part forecast & orders for each project. Add customer orders to customer trial part order spreadsheet. Overall monitoring of new project activity by defining customer expectations and internal capabilities; identify project priorities and constraints. Establish and maintain a reporting system for new projects to provide visibility internally and for customer; creating new project schedules; identify and follow critical path items. Confirm project activity status; order components based on trial schedule; confirm parts are available for shipment; coordinate internally made parts to support trial schedule; confirm component parts are at line-side for production trial Conduct new project meetings; track overall project schedule, keep minutes of meetings, maintain trial and delivery schedule. Support Manager and Supervisor in meeting departmental goals and implementing cost savings ideas. Confirm project activity status Responsible for Trial Orders - maintain spreadsheets, process internall paperwork, etc. Create HVPT & Ramp-up schedule and report out status on a weekly/ daily basis Acts as the primary contact for customer during new model launch. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks Ability to analyze data and plan improvement activities Possess good verbal and written communication skills Must have the ability to interact and understand people Good knowledge of the Toyota Production System Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and materials
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or industrial engineering preferred. 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment required
