Full-Time Kitchen Cook / Production Team Member Ana Bandeira Chocolates — Northampton, MA Full-time | Daytime hours | From $17/hour + tips About Ana Bandeira Chocolates Ana Bandeira Chocolates is a small, family-owned tree-to-bar chocolate company with operations in Northampton and Espírito Santo, Brazil. Our family has been growing cacao in Brazil for four generations, and we work directly with cacao from our own farm. We are involved in the entire process, from harvesting and fermenting the cacao through roasting and chocolate making, and finally into the chocolates, baked goods, drinks, and food we serve in our Northampton café. We care deeply about ingredients and about making food properly. Our kitchen follows the same approach: good ingredients, careful preparation, consistency, and attention to detail. The Position We are looking for a full-time kitchen team member to join our Northampton café and production kitchen. This is primarily a cooking and kitchen-production position , not a front-of-house position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a professional kitchen, can stay organized during busy service, and takes responsibility for keeping their station, prep, and production work on track. The position combines made-to-order café cooking with daily food preparation and production . Depending on the day, you may be preparing ingredients and recipes, cooking breakfast and lunch orders, making soups or other prepared foods, assisting with bakery production, or helping with other kitchen projects. We are especially interested in someone looking for a stable, full-time position who wants to become an important part of a small team and grow with the business. Responsibilities Prepare and execute our kitchen recipes accurately and consistently Complete daily and weekly kitchen prep Prepare breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, and other menu items to order Work efficiently during busy café service Manage incoming orders while staying on top of prep and production responsibilities Assist with daily food production and occasional bakery production Follow recipes, portioning standards, and food-safety procedures Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen Wash dishes and help keep shared kitchen and café dishware moving during service Clean kitchen equipment, ovens, refrigerators, freezers, work surfaces, and floors Complete opening and closing kitchen responsibilities Receive direction from the kitchen/production manager and communicate clearly with the rest of the team Assist in other production or café areas as needed
What We're Looking For Required:
At least 1 year of cooking or professional kitchen experience Ability to work full-time Availability for daytime and morning shifts Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and food quality Strong organization and multitasking skills Reliability and consistent attendance Ability to work independently without constant supervision Ability to communicate and work well as part of a small team Willingness to clean and maintain your workspace as part of the job Helpful but not required: Bakery or pastry experience Café or breakfast/lunch kitchen experience Food-production experience Interest in chocolate, baking, cooking, or specialty food What This Job Is Like We are a small company, so everyone contributes.
