V-TEK, Inc. is currently expanding our Packaging Services Department, and we are seeking a talented Process Technician to join our team. This position is a hands-on role where you'll be working with Engineering, Production Leaders, and Production Staff to identify customer needs; define custom tooling and automation options; set up, optimize, and troubleshoot new automation and robotic systems; verify product is packaged per customer and industry standards; and evaluate and improve machine configurations and capabilities. What you will do in your new role:

• Set up and operate various automatic machines for Packaging Services to include: o Initial set up of new automated production jobs § This requires understanding of customer needs, identifying appropriate tooling, extreme care in handling customer parts and meticulous attention to detail o Complete and verify product changeovers o First article set up and testing - creation of production recipe, vision system optimization, and motion control setup for new product runs o Optimize machine utilization and operations to increase use and efficiency of automatic solutions in Packaging Services o Document run procedures and train staff on machine/job operation o Perform in-process and final QC inspection of product to verify or improve machine operations • Troubleshooting equipment and production issues on a variety of manual, semi-automatic, fully-automatic, and robotic machines.

• Work with Applications Engineering to define custom tooling and automation options to meet unique and varied customer needs and requirements.
• Develop and complete

IPQC/PQC

plans and complete part inspection and QC checks for various product runs to validate machine process and ensure customer parts are packaged to customer and industry specifications.

• Work with Customer Service Coordinator in Packaging Services area to understand priorities and timelines to meet customer expectations
• Report to Director of Operations What you bring to the role: -Required
• Post secondary education in electronics, mechatronics, robotics or similar field is recommended (two to four years minimum experience of demonstrated success in same or similar fields can be substituted for formal education).
• Industrial vision system knowledge or experience (Keyence, Datalogic, Flir/Fly Capture, or ScannerTech is preferred)
• Robotic or automation experience
• Strong demonstration of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Extreme organization and methodical setup/diagnosing capabilities
• Strong ability to communicate technical content both verbally and written
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, mechanical diagrams, and schematics.
