  • As a Production Associate, you play a role in packaging and preparing hay and hay-based products for shipment. You ensure all products meet quality and weight standards, operate production and packaging equipment safely, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive work environment in a fast-paced production facility.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Package hay and hay-based products to meet established quality and weight specifications.
+ Operate packaging and production line equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with procedures. + Follow all safety and food safety protocols to maintain a clean and compliant production environment. + Assist with line changes, machine setups, and adjustments as needed to support different products and packaging formats. + Monitor equipment performance during operation and identify potential issues or irregularities. + Communicate equipment or production issues promptly to supervisors or maintenance personnel. + Perform general production, assembly, and packaging tasks such as picking, packing, loading, and working on the assembly line. + Use forklifts or pallet jacks, when trained, to move materials and finished products safely.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Previous production or warehouse experience, including general labor, packaging, and packing.
+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs for bulk products, including overhead lifting. + Ability to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced production setting. + Comfort working in dusty environments with exposure to hay and varying temperatures. + Ability to read and follow instructions in English accurately and consistently.

  • You work in a fast-paced, team-oriented production facility focused on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The environment involves regular exposure to hay, dust, and varying temperatures, requiring comfort with an agricultural-style setting. Leadership provides support and encourages open communication, fostering a culture where your input matters. Shifts typically run Monday through Thursday, with a choice of 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with Fridays worked as needed to meet production demands. The facility emphasizes proper safety attire, including high-visibility clothing, closed-toe shoes, and safety glasses; safety gear is provided except for shoes. The dress code requires work clothes such as pants or sweatpants and shirts with sleeves, and you avoid wearing piercings or jewelry to maintain safety standards.
