North Sails has available positions in our Production departments: The Gantry Operator performs specialized processes in molding, laminating and finishing high performance sails.

Requirements for this position are:

A positive attitude working independently or within a team setting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on knees, bend, and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work on a raised platform and be suspended in a harness in the air above the work space. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions involving operating and process procedures, company standards, and safety regulations. Physically dexterous in order to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to concentrate while performing repetitive tasks. Ability to work quickly, methodically, and efficiently while paying close attention to detail. Ability to work overtime, varied shifts, and weekends. First Shift, 6:00am-2:30pm, is available. The 3Di Operator uses machinery to create high performance sails.

Requirements for this position are:

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions involving operating machinery, process procedures, company standards, and safety regulations. Ability to work independently or within a team setting. Ability to work overtime, varied shifts, and weekends. All shifts available. The Sailmaker works as part of the sail finishing team to fabricate and assemble sails utilizing high end materials and hardware to complete a finished product for the end use on a sail boat. Please be certain you meet the following requirements of this position: A positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work well within a team environment. A quick learner with the ability to retain information and procedures. Pays attention to detail. Good written, verbal, math and reading skills are required. Must be familiar with the metric system. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., pull and drag up to 100 lbs., stand, sit at a sewing machine, crawl and work on knees for extended periods of time. Basic experience with hand tools required. Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime and weekends. Second shift available.
