Job Description
Located in the tranquility of the open countryside, Kaatsbaan Cultural Park is a 153-acre artist sanctuary located on New York's Hudson River in the charming village of Tivoli. As an incubator for creativity and presenter of world-class artists in dance, theater, music, film, spoken & written word, and culinary and visual arts, Kaatsbaan provides artists with extraordinary studios, an indoor black box theater, and housing. Our facilities make a breathtaking and idyllic country home for creative action and achievement. Audiences enjoy year-round performances, exhibitions, festivals, and educational programs. For public events, Kaatsbaan hires occasional, contract-based staff. Requirements
- Experience preferred but not required.
Compensation:
Positions start at $18 an hour with a four-hour-minimum for each shift. Higher rates available for candidates with event and production experience. Festival Production Assistant dates and times are listed below; most are required, yet schedules vary per role: Wednesday, August 26- Training

- 10:00a-10:00p Production Assistants will obtain hands-on experiences in arts administration and production, and be a part of an experienced team of arts professionals.
- Support production with daily logistics; transport performers from dressing rooms to performance space. Production
- Work with our Technical Director in daily venue set-up—including setting up chairs and preparing outdoor venues for performances. Box Office
- Set up table and laptop, greet guests, check-in guests with reservations on ticketing software, and add walk-in guests to the system as needed. Concessions
- set up and sell light refreshments, snacks, and artist merchandise to guests; manage transactions using the Point of Sale system. Front-of-House
- greet guests, answer inquiries, guide guests to destinations including helping them find their assigned seat.

$18.00- $20.
