Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Dimensional Inspector to join our manufacturing quality assurance team. This role is essential in ensuring that all manufactured components meet stringent dimensional specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in dimensional inspection, utilizing precision measurement tools and advanced inspection software to verify component accuracy. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-precision manufacturing processes, supporting the delivery of top-quality products across various industries. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive dimensional inspections of machined and fabricated parts using coordinate measuring machines (CMM), micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate measurement and compliance with specifications. Utilize inspection software such as PC-DMIS and Calypso to analyze measurement data and generate detailed reports. Verify parts against ASME codes & standards, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 quality management systems to ensure regulatory compliance. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment to uphold measurement accuracy. Collaborate with manufacturing and machining teams to identify root causes of dimensional discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Document inspection results meticulously, maintain traceability records, and support quality audits. Assist in developing inspection procedures aligned with industry standards and customer requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality control processes to enhance efficiency and product reliability. Requirements Proven experience as a Dimensional Inspector within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Proficiency with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), PC-DMIS, Calypso, and other precision measurement tools. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for accurate interpretation of technical drawings. Knowledge of industry standards including ASME codes & standards, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling, CNC operations, and schematics. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar platforms. Ability to perform precise measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and other precision instruments. Excellent math skills for data analysis and measurement calculations. Experience working with quality control systems focused on aerospace or medical device manufacturing is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
